This tutorial is one of the best I have come across and with out a doubt my favorite. It's easy to understand and follow. shame I can't use the mirror trick as I have an old version of flash. Excellent work.

(YOU NEED FLASH 8 OR LATER FOR THIS)
first you need to have the animation in a "movie clip" (you do this by rightclicking on a picture than pick convert to symbol, you should have animated the whole thing in there, if you haven't just copy each frame and place it in there) Now you mark the movie clip and at the buttom of the page you should be able to find something called filters. Now press that adn than there should be a blue "+", and add blur.
