Reviews for "The Hobbit - Act I"

hmmmmmmmmmmm

okay first of all im going to start with the praise! great character designs, something which you always deliver, great story (have you ever thought about becomming an author) Nice length and good file compression made it easy to download! however, the voices which you used for some of the characters were lacking ie with the gandalf voice it sounded as if you were portraying him as either gay or incompitent or both. most of the voices didnt match as a matter of fact had this had better voice actors i think i would have got a much higher score (the kind of score you are normally used to) you have been at universtiy for a few years know and in that time what people like on newgrounds has changed people prefer frame by frame animation to your moveable characters! I think you tried to hard with this flash and at times made jokes where no jokes should have been made, the weed thing at the start was hillarious! basically with your style of animation in order to produce a 4.10 flash onwards it has to be foot perfect and funny throughout! still nice flash 10000000000 times better than anything i could make, the only reason im being critical is i loved you metal gear solid flashes and when comparing this with them their really is no comparisson! looking forward to more of your work btw!

Nice

I don't care what any douchebag with a keyboard says. This isn't the best thing you've turned out but your stuff is consistently fun to watch.

I love you!!!

You make gollum so awsome.

Great, hilarious, you spoke too fast

This was great. It was hilarious. "Get me a yam, all mashed up!" "Yes sir!". But, you spoke too fast in the beginning. There also wasn't enough pause between the speakers in the beginning. But other than that, it was great.
Also, how did you get that texture, that made everything look rough, like a page from a book? Is it a filter?
Also, when we see (or don't see) Bilbo hiding in the dark and we only see his eyes, it just looks like floating eyes because of the texture. However, in all other places, the texture makes it look very storybookish, which I think you said was the intent.

awsome

I loved the tom babodil part 'oh no you brought home another crazy person'. If you like Tolkien then 10/10 if not then well you decide. Im suddenly reminded of clerks 2 for some reason - 'jesus christ even the fuckin trees walked' and 'i made a lotr nerd puke.' lmao. more more MORE!
