Reviews for "The Art Of HouseWifery"

quite funny

reminds me a little bit of the advertising in Bioshock, but less sick and more anti feminine...

Hmmmm

I felt a rock land in the bottom of my gut and it felt like she was being suckered. I don't mean this toward the movie personaly, but people like that, I feel sorry for them.

At some parts I almost laughed, but when it got more into the movie it became seriously old.

Now to rating. The sounds were presentable and I could hear them clearly. The animation wasn't half bad either. Seven out of ten.

7/10

Valium. You forgot to mention the valium.

I'm a girl, and I found it hilarious. Of course, I didn't agree with anything mentioned in the video, but it was so stereotypical it actually made me laugh. And I liked how the music made it sound like a 1950's info video. Just work on the animation.

Not Bad

A competent attempt of a tried and tested parody.

In terms of flash animation it was good. A few odd bits here and there but most of it only lent itself to the style. The production and mixing on the male/narrator vocals were pretty decent but the woman/wife was often a bit low in the mix and faint in points. Probably tired from all that giving birth, lol.

This style of 1930's service video aimed at keeping women in the kitchen (satirically of course) has been done a million times. My favourite rendition was the fast show one with "Women - Know Your Place" which this seems to be an almost direct flash conversion of........

Overall though a nice job. You've got a good sense for what you set out to accomplish. It would have been funnier if you went a bit more over the top but too late for that I suppose.

here's a link to the fast show attempt I was talking about.

Alright

It's spelled "chauvinistic" not shovanistic.

And it was alright. Sexism is better when it's funnier.
