2006

squeakytoad responds:

Way back? Feels like it wasn't that long ago. At the same time, it also feels like it was half a decade ago. time is a strange thing.

And just wait and see. I'm sure Kimbles has something up his sleeve.

Awesome

Wow dude Xtremely good. That was some high quality stuff

Wow...

Extremly well done. I loved it. Nice and lengthy, really funny, good characters. Great story and dialouge. The whole thing was great. Even though the eye thing was a little corny.

Two cameos in one Halloween

And I haven't even done anything this year! Anyway, good stuff. I was surprised by the rather extensive cameo by Blockhead, and certainly surprised to see (older model) Ingus in there too. I'm flattered, but you know, this sort of thing is bad for my unjustly large ego. Overall very funny stuff. The floating eyes bit was probably my favorite part in the cartoon. The voice acting was great and the villain sounds a lot like Professor Ratigan. Overall, great job.

squeakytoad responds:

Ah, yeah. I was informed that was an older model. I watched the series last year (loved it, btw, make more), and when I got around to this thing, I had forgotten that Ingus had changed appearance, using episode one (the quickest one I could get- the scene was last minute) for reference.

With these characters, I generally love to throw in cameos. It keeps drawing background characters from being a boring ordinary task.
As for the Blockhead character, I plan to, from now on, try to get an animator I really like the work of, like Swain, to play a cameo part.
It's fun for me to animate, and while it may alienate the unfamiliar audience for just a few seconds, the familiarity that fans of those series thrills them enough to make it worth it.

Thanks, man! Really glad you liked it.

crossover madness!

I was in the Indy 500
I must confess I'm impressed how I did
And I wonder how close that I came
Now I got a sinkin' sensation
I was the top of the line
out of sight
out of mind
So much for fortune and fame.........

so many cameos.
SO MANY. I particularly laughed at your rather dumb Ingus drawing. He just looks funny.
Also, THUNDERDOME from MAD MAX is in this. Another cameo!
But I think the culprit
was
RED HERRING.

squeakytoad responds:

Yeah. That's what happens when you draw your cameos hastily, children.

It makes drawing random people so much more fun when they're random people we all know and love (and/or hate in some cases).
Otherwise you're just drawing ordinary ugly people standing around in inconspicuous crowds.

Yeah, a ton more Thunderdome jokes coming in the sequel. Brace yourself.

One of the things I hate about contests is, even if you win, you're causing someone else to lose. It especially sucks if it's a bunch of people you actually know and like. Especially in this contest. There's Swain (who even voiced in this thing), Eddsworld, TmsT, Will Arbuckle, and your stuff. All talented animators and artists with original ideas.
I wouldn't count yours out at all. I was actually thinking yours was going to beat mine.
The score matters some, but it's ultimately what the staff want.
