Reviews for "NGHH'11 - Q-sik vs Glitch"

good.

way to step up for sure. there's still a crap load of filler in this thing. more personals for qsik, better flow for glitch. i think qsik wasted 4 bars trying to mimic glitches voice. everyone can do that to anyone, and it only really works when people's flow is messed up, which glitch's isn't. i really would vote OT on this one.

but let's face it. the real winner is loser in this match because they won't have to face me.

Well...

Okay...i'm sitting here listening to it all the way through. And then I listened again. And again. And one last time to make sure I could lean towards one winner over the other...Here's the gist of it:

QSik 1st verse: The Waka-Flocka Flame line was funny. The Sharpie line was funny. The rat wig was funny. The Eminem reference was decent.

Glitch 1st verse: The mic is garbage line was pointless (only because QSik already invited you to make a joke and last round we established that we don't need expensive mics to win battles). Trying to be Eminem and Many Men reference was good, but the rest of the first verse was lacking.

QSik 2nd verse: The imitation wasn't as great as it could've been, in part because you did it monotone. If anything it made it seem like you mimicked yourself. However, the things you said were funny. The national debt line went in well. The Fred Flinstone line was decent, but could've been harder.

Glitch 2nd verse: The smacked backwards line was decent. I've heard it many times, but it came across well. The flip about how he sounded at the beginning of his second verse was good. Q did prepare, but what you said about him not being ready seemed like filler. The raised you from the dead to kill him again was nice. A puppet on your strings, if you will.

All in all, this was a decent battle. Both had a little filler on each side for their verses to try and get them finished. Sometimes finishing first doesn't mean that what's been written quickly won't have filler. I'll be honest, I actually was surprised by QSik in this round. I told him he'd need to step his game up and it seemed to me like he did. For less filler and seemingly more punches, I gotta give this one to QSik. Well done by both and good luck.

Stay up,

Nimbus The General

Glitch

Qsik1- A few phrases were difficult to understand. A few disses about Glitch's appearance (I guessing based on Glitch's profile pic). Flow was there, but it felt a bit rushed.
Glitch1-Nice response, like the Eminem/Many Men reference. Calm/relaxed delivery=not really stressed about this battle; natural.
Qsik2-Impersonation was lol; but a waste of bars. A lot of artist references in this verse. Uh... If he would've pronounced" Mao" like "Mow" (rather than mayo) it would've rhymed with "round", but alas it twas a fail. A for effot though.
Glitch2- "you only did a 2nd verse cause I raised ya from the dead, to have a lil fun and murder you again". Flow was fairly decent, the breath control could use a little more practice. Liked the cleverness.

Glitch had better hits (understandible and direct). Glitch's flow was better (smooth and it was more enjoyable to listen to, my preference). I'd give Qsik props for delivery ( sounded like he had more energy) too bad his quality is shit.

I think Glitch should go to the next round.

Glitch

Qsik has mediocre flow and stumbles worse than davidzx before he had his leg amputated. Cramming too many syllables into spaces that don't have enough room. That, and the imitation of lilwayne's voice was just plain silly.

Glitch

When it comes to the rhyme scheme, Glitch edged out Qsik. It seemed Qsik stumbled over too many syllables at a few different places. But Glitch definitely took it when it came to clarity. When I thought Qsik was going to come up with a decent diss, he either failed to execute the rhyme or I really couldn't understand what he was aiming at. It really seemed Qsik put a lot of time into his verses, and some of the famous MC comparisons were funny...

but Glitch had smoothe execution, better voice and lyrics.
