WOW
This was SO different from the other work I've listened to that it actually startled me for a moment.
That isnt to say, of course, that it's a bad piece. On the contrary, it's a brilliant and inovative piece of music.
Zen-Zudokai did a very good job of setting up a storyline that this music would easily fit into.
A game series that this could very easily fit into is the Zelda series, in my opinion. The latest one took a slightly darker aspect of the characters, and this fits that mood very well.
The righteous and heroic champion fighting against the massive onslaught of the heinous villain and his forces and armies of darkness. The one light in an overwhelmingly large and dark pool surrounded on all sides, yet he stands tall and faces his foes fearlessly and without shame. Slowly, so slowly, the battle ensues and foes fall one after another to the sword of the champion. Finally, all that remains is their leader, still confident in his victory as he finally takes the field.
They slowly approach each other from opposite sides of the battlefield, building speed as they go. Eventually they are both at a full run, they collide, and one falls. The music fades, and the victor stands tall.
