A bit imbalanced, too slow, otherwise good

Decent enough game, although i wish it could be run in fast foward mode :)

A problem with the experience is that the longer the fight goes for the more experience you get. This means that to have a chance at beating the later guardians, you have to drag the earlier battles out

To people complaining about the cards being random, thats part of the strategy! Make your character an all rounder, it works much better.

Finally the drain life curse is WAY too powerful. Basically if you get hit by one and you don't have a counter-curse, you lose most of the time, especially against the mage guardians. It would also be good if you could see the stats of the enemy mosters.

Good idea, but needs work

13 Guardians is a nice attempt at a "card based" RPG (ala Baten Kaitos), but is plagued by a few issues. The graphics are well done, but it would be nice to see a little more pop to the colors. Everything seemed washed in light blues and grays, and so everything had a slightly dull, hazy feeling to them. The gameplay is fun, but the game moves waaay too slowly...even when I turned the quality down to "low" I was getting bored waiting for the actions to complete. In addition, the difficulty level does seem to shoot sharply upwards after the first two or three fights. The difficulty, coupled with the pace of the game, made it somewhat of a chore, and really detracted from what could be a very good RPG.

dude,if i'm playing with a warrior,and im going to kill a ghost,but the ghost cannot be killed by a warrior,how can i play?!

but it still a nice game,good graphics...but the RANDOM cards is awful,i liked it anyway.
