sad

omg... its really sad... one thing i didnt get is the guy that they showed a lot, did he kill the boy?

How melancholy...

Just the way I like it. A very dark and sad story you've created here. I understand this old man did something very very wrong, some great sin or crime of some sort, maybe he caused the death of the child shown in the black and white scene (his child?). There things that show his repentance for whatever it was, like the pamphlets he hands out to people, trying to get the people to understand whether or not they're good enough to gain entry into Heaven, or if they'll fall into the depths of Hell when all is said and done; that seemed like it was an event that bears realization and understanding of what it was he had done wrong and his attempt at reconciling for the sin. It seems that he may have killed himself for some reason (the child's death he caused) by jumping off a bridge, maybe the guilt was too much for him and wanted to be released from it, maybe he thought he might redeem himself with this act. But there are clear and open signs that this may not have been enough to redeem his soul, the man is walking past a large cross and it warps, or falls, or leans away from him as he moves past it, like it's rejecting him, forsaking and shunning his presence. And of course the final scene, with the blinking "up" arrow showing that his fate is not for sure, or certain, that his crimes will weigh heavy upon his judgement.
Amazing art, amazing concept, nice insertion of a moral message (even if it may not be what I belive it to be), and it shall keep me pondering for a while.

Nice work.

Pretty open to interpretation. I watched before I read any other reviews. I came away with a different perspective. I think that the sky chairs were carting off the old people from around the world. Which I stumbled upon as I heard the baby crying. And when the old man was crying over the baby...that was the baby born that he had to die for. Population control in some futuristic world. Cage them up and send them to a facility. The futureistic technology can read minds and decide if they get to live on up above, or die immediately. Cause the tower appeared to have another level to it above.

I think it was great work.

Open

You left a lot open for interpretation. The way i see it, is this main character guy is the last with hop,e and at the end, he finally loses it, and that "up tower" thing represents death or suicide, and he finally got on bored the band wagon with everyone else, killing themselves slowly because they all lost faith in something.

Excellent

I think I see what you were trying to communicate, or at least my interpretation of what I saw.

I think that it is about a man who commits suicide. He had been a man of God and lived his life by his word. But, in one fell swoop he betrayed him.

By taking his life he not only betrayed his family and his loved ones, but God. God who had breathed life into him and shown him the way. He gave him purpoes and this man decided that the life God had given him wasn't what he wanted, to the point of suicide.

Then comes the dilemma of the elevator. He, along wiht the other spirits reach the elevator. Many will descend and others will ascend. But this man can choose, can he take the penalty for taking a life, his own in this case, or will he face God in heaven.

CAN he face God, doing what he did
