WinterWind

MaestroSorrow responds:

heh, rpg loops arn't supposed to have immediate openings or endings, thats why the ending was kinda... not there ^^.

Thnx for the review anyways.

i disagree

There IS a beat here... it's in the harp and tambourine. And it rocks. But, I can say from experience that a cave in which I'm fighting spiders is NO place for a very repetitive loop. I hate spiders and will just get more frustrated by the repetitive music. I suggest pulling the harp back into the background to act as percussion instead of the "melody" as everyone keeps calling it, and throwing in some dynamics to make the piece sound like it's changing more than it really is. This track made me think of Lufia for some reason. I don't know why, I don't even remember what the Lufia music sounds like.

MaestroSorrow responds:

See i'm going to cut and copy this and show them!

"HERE'S PROOF!" i'll say, and they'll HAVE to let me put in that beat ^^.

Many thanks for confirming what I had suspected I should have done John, and again for the review.

Interesting

I lowered the originality because music like this is so common in any and all RPG games. You often find this in the menu or in a cutscene. However if this were to be in a RPG people would want to know who made this wonderful piece! I can't think of a story for this one because there really isn't any changes in pace or tempo like there is in a story. By the way i've decided to start making music but i need a music making program. My friend said that you can't buy them on the market only download them off the internet. Know any good ones that are free? Keep up the good work!

MaestroSorrow responds:

hey Zen, sorry for the uber delayed response.

Lets see.

Free music programs are difficult to come by, at least good ones. Notepad Finale, is a good one, Noteworthy, and to a far lesser extent AnvilStudio's.

If you need any help with them, don't hesitate to ask ^^.

Thanks for the review.

Nice, if i had flash player i'd use it

Well, thats all I'd give it a 8 out of a 10

MaestroSorrow responds:

i'm glad you spent the time to listen to it. It's not my best or my favourite. Some pieces are failures, some are not ^^.

I still enjoyed it though.

These types of songs are too common within games, hence the lower mark for originality. But never mind that, because it still is very good.

The shimmery sounding things in the background really add to the feel; nice touch.

^__^

MaestroSorrow responds:

go generic prowess!!! This is quite common place, because it was demanded to be so, it hurt me a good deal to make this song... no room for uber creativity :'(

thanks for the review ^^.
