Reviews for "Spritey-Man!"

It looked a bit too rushed

well it wasnt bad but you can improve on the graphics and maybe not make it too rough.

Chutzpah

Lemmy is better than me because he has no shame - that was some awful singing. Points for that.

It's not TOO bad. A few things could be improved.

For your second submission, it doesnt look all that bad.

However there are a few things you could improve on, and given time you could definitely come up with something fantastic.

First of all, PLEASE do not underestimate the value of decent audio quality. Even with a pc microphone, you can still get MUCH better audio quality if you spend some extra time running them through an audio editor, and cleaning up the levels, taking out that annoying hissing sound that hides in the background when you accentuate your "S" and "C"'s.

If you wanted to go all out, you could also set up a sheet of fly-wire or some other thin, porous material to catch those audio hisses natural in your speech (not taking a poke at you, almost EVERYONE sounds like that on a comp mic.), and hold it up in front of the microphone while you talk into it.

Additionally, i realise you were trying to work over the top of the lyrics for the spiderman theme, but your voice almost completely drowns it out. I'm sure if you searched hard enough, you could come up with a source for the theme, without the lyrics. This way, you would be able to blend the music and words easier, and allow for a better listening experience.

A little sound processing makes ALL the difference, so please be a little mindful in the future regarding this.

I'm not exactly qualified, however, to make criticisms on your artwork, but i will simply say that again while it is your second submission, i'm sure with a little more care to detail, that you could come out with something fantasitc.

Nothing good is completed in a short span of time, and it's not as though there is a rush for you to pump out movies, so please, take extra time and care with your work, and always get a few friends from different social groups / tastes to look over your work before submission to the portal. This will not only serve to entertain your friends, but it is also some free criticism from people who will in all likelyhood be a lot less brutal as they go about giving you advice or ideas.

Best of luck with your next submission.

I think--

--You need a better microphone. The animation was pretty good.

Oops, forgot. EPILEPSY WARNING. BIG ONE.

I like that you put the effort into making an original soundtrack and that you've worked hard on the animation, i think the only thing you could do to improve that would be to reduce the frequency of the colour changes because the flashes at that frequency can cause severe headaches in a lot of people (happened in japan after a badly planned pokemon scene, put 685 japanese kids in hospital.

anyway.. keep up the good work and keep improving it!
