Reviews for "Shame by the Slice 2"

Yeah...

I agree with MichaelHughes.
It was very droll and had lots of dry humor.
Sorry to give such a bad review, but this was horrible.

BaconMask responds:

You didn't really give a review, you just kinda cited someone else's review.

...

I really do want to give this a good review, but I just can't. My main issue is the lackluster humor, sometimes the jokes seem forced, and at other times they just aren't funny. I managed to watch this whole cartoon and only laugh one (A freakin' pig, too funny).
Your animation style is a little too artistic, it doesn't seem to flow, but it is all very well drawn! I do look forward to seeing new things from you, god knows I'm not supporting the newgrounds content!

BaconMask responds:

Well, I don't expect everyone to find it funny. If I tried to please everyone, I wouldn't be me. But, whatever. That's life. Thanks for reviewing!

BaconMask responds:

Thanks, glad you liked it!

I'm sorry...

I can see you've worked hard on this, but this flash series just isn't entertaining. The jokes are just too weak... sure, the characters are quirky and a little stupid-funny, but they never really do or say anything that isn't watered down by their cliched humor. You can predict a joke's punchline scenario 5 seconds before it happens. You need to tap into some serious creativity, and figure out how to make your characters more than what they are, make them memorable.

As far as your artwork detail goes, it's great, but it's time to let go of all the actionscript and tweening... you need different angles of your characters, environments... you need to draw them differently, depending on what they are doing. Otherwise, the flow from scene to scene just ends up looking choppy and awkward, making it difficult to take this flash seriously at times.

I hope you improve, rather than become discouraged. Good luck.

BaconMask responds:

It's all about perspecitve, I guess. Most of the stuff I see on TV, and a lot of the popular stuff here on NG isn't what I consider funny, but everyone else does. So, I do my thing and make something that I consider funny. Some people like it, some don't.

But what am I gonna do? Curl up in a ball everytime someone thinks that they'll take the wind out of my sails with a bad review? Hardly. You're entitled to your opinion, and I really dig the honesty, but I disagree 100%. I think you're out of touch here.

And don't think for a second you've discouraged me. It takes a hell of a lot to do that! =)
