Good Job

It was a very good job, and I love the 3-D animation, there are a few minor things that could have been better such as more background, and a little color maybe, although I guess the black and white really was cool. Kinda added your own thing there. Overall 7/10, can't wait for the next one.
PS: I was really hoping for the next episode of our StarCraft series, any idea when the next episode will come out? Been waiting for about a year for the next one :)

LogFish responds:

Thanks a lot!

I've actually started re-building some of the models for episode 6 of the StarCraft series - am thinking I'll do another series after I finish that one and I can make much better models these days! I'm still using models from the first episode, and everything else about the 1st episode is balls compared with what I can do now heh.

Nice Animation

I really liked the animation, especially the 3d effects with the cars. The one thing I noticed was that he reloaded his gun twice even though he hadn't fired a shot; once when he arrived at his house and again before he entered the house. Just a small detail though ;). Overall well done.

LogFish responds:

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I'll be running later episodes past a panel of people to spot those kinds of inconsistencies I don't even think of before posting on NG next time :)

Great work!

I thought the graphics were very original for this type of movie...of course there were a few inconsistencies (such as him reloading his gun before firing a shot off...) but it was really, really good. I'd like to see more work from you in the future!

BTW...the sound still didn't sync up exactly with the movie, at least not on my machine.

LogFish responds:

Sound sync: BALLS! That's rough as guts. Well hopefully the action sequence ran ok. I think I did this at 24fps rather than 18 like my StarCraft movies so it might be more maxing on the computer, not sure about that!

Thanks for the supportive review (and being forgiving about those inconsistencies!) - Ill keep working on it, hopefully later episodes will be much more impressive ;)

cool

nice graphics

LogFish responds:

Sweet dog! Glad you liked it

not too shabby

Instead of using the lower bit rate, rethink the option of re-voicing the entire movie. This way you can sync the words to the mouths at a better rate. Also, try slowing down the speech. It's very very mumbled, and I don't think a higher bit rate would matter in terms of actual clarity. Oh, and try some alterate music types also, the same techno beat over and over will lose appeal. but everything was really awesome with the animation styles.

LogFish responds:

Oh no it wasn't the voice that wasnt syncing, it was EVERYTHING. I think you'd rather have it crap quality and in sync, that listening to bullets hitting 5 seconds after they've been fired etc! You know the stuff, it was maddening!!

Glad you liked the style, will definately keep refining it and progressing the story in future!

My accent is a New Zealand one, we talk bloody quick compared with the average American - I should really take special care to talk slloooowllyyy - hehe.
