He's Hiding Behind the Fridge!

No, don't open the fridge door, don't open the fridge-----!!

This is a great throwback to horror soundtracks of previous decades, and your main theme (on cellos, I think) sounds like it belongs in some sort of Fugue from Hell -- how to describe it better?

How about: "Johann Sebastian Bach, if he scored 90's horror films."

Your orchestration is quite good -- to the point at which I would never have guessed that you primarily listened to metal -- and your violins are all over the place, which fits perfectly.

You have this massive build-up to 3:06, creating all this tension. Then it gets really quiet, relieving the tension: that's fine. But at the end, I feel like the track should continue to build up even more tension than the first time. That's my $.02, anyway.

Well that, and I think it needs more cowbell-- I mean, timpani :D

Not bad.

It does create quite a sense of forboding evil, and the spindly instrument at about 1:11 was very eery. I didn't like the dischordant strings at 1:45 very much, I thought they were a bit too much. They could probably have been less dischordant while still achieving the same creepy result. The terrifying buildup from around 2:20 onwards was masterfully done however, I could feel myself getting more and more tense and paranoid as more strings piled on and the pitch rose. Very good at inspiring fear, well done!

I'm glad you liked it!

Yeah that part at 1:11 is a harp. I'd tried it with a bunch of other instuments but I couldnt find anything that would me the desired effect.

I'm sorry you thought the dischordant strings at 1:45 were a little too much. I kinda got carried away a bit i guess. To be honest I mostly listen to metal, so that part was sort of inspred by the breakdowns you find in some heavy songs.

I'm glad you generally like it though! Thanks for the review!
