Reviews for "-Legend-"

Just Amazing

This just makes me want to buy tons of swords and armor and just go fight people. Its super amazing better than most of the music on Newgrounds.

Step responds:

Wow, I'm flattered!

Thanks for reviewing man.

wow

just wow this should be called Epic or Legend of Epicness

Step responds:

Hehe, thanks :D.

...w-wow....

You, literally blew me away. I jumped like 5 feet in the air when the first blast came. It's amazing. And the quality is amazing as well. So you need not worry about that. It's people like you that keep like me, who has no idea nor talent on how to make music ona program, make a flash/game, or draw something good and post it up on teh internet on prestigious sites that shall not be named (*COUGH COUGH* NEWGROUNDS *COUGH *COUGH*), feel like they can live with that shame. Make more amazing music, leave your print on our hearts, and Live on. That is my only wish. Good luck, kay?

P.S Know in your bleakest moments, that at least i'm here, rooting for you, so DON'T STOP MAKING MUSIC, EVEN if you're in a slump.

With warm an dbest wishes,
Mashi (AKA Masashi Enoki Sakurai)

Step responds:

Hey, I think you're the person who reviewed a song I made with my friend 'Beams of Hope' (posted on our shared account Raven-Guard). So thanks for yet another great review!

I appreciate the support a lot. Very glad you enjoyed this, and also not having certain talents like being able to make music on a program, use Flash or make good enough art to post isn't really something you should be disappointed in - everyone has different talents, and heck, compared to other people on the site I'm not even that good at music myself.

Anyhow, thanks again for one of the most supportive reviews I've ever received! Oh and sorry if this response is a bit half-assed, I'm pretty tired.

Brilliant!!

I can absolutely feel a desert rolling here. I gotta say. I love it! And have easily listened to it more times than I have fingers. The establishing part is excellent and then the little lift at 1:15 introduces us to something bolder.

From there, its becomes a such an impacting piece. The Sitar is a great touch, especially for its little twist in pitch it does. However this doesnt dominate from the existing orchestra which was so important to keep it all consistent all the way through.

You take us all on a journey with this Stephan. A top notch track!
Good Luck. :D

Step responds:

Thanks :D. I really appreciate the great review, as always!

Wow, thanks :D. I tried to move the song to a different direction from around the first minute onwards, and I'm glad it worked out.

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, this song's structure is strikingly similar to that of my old orchestral song 'Land of Kings', except instead of a sitar part that one has a harp part.

"From there, its becomes a such an impacting piece. The Sitar is a great touch, especially for its little twist in pitch it does."

I definitely have Ethnoworld to thank for that. It comes with all sorts of different instruments such as that sitar sample, and hasn't disappointed me yet.

Yeah I tried to keep the orchestra as the main element of the song with the sitar playing a supporting role, to make sure I don't break any contest rules lol.

You too! Thanks a million for the great review; I definitely have to find the time to review your track back. That is, once I finish my nasty system analysis project...

Thanks again!

I can hear the ...

oriental spices that has been put down into this piece of music.

Grand armies and with massive battles to come, two different nations decides to fight for their rights on open plains
Nice use of different instruments, but the thing that stands out, is the use of drums and perc you have been using.

Great work on this one.
Good luck in the competition

Step responds:

Thanks a lot for the review. I'm glad you like the song. I'm pretty happy with the percussion I did in this song too :).

Thanks again and good luck to you as well!
