Reviews for "Mother: Earthbound"

I'm amazed at your talent.

This had to be the single best medley I have ever heard. I love this game, the soundtrack and the overall essence of this game. You captured everything thought- and emotion-evoking about it. You truly made my head spin with this. Please continue to make things like this. I will be looking forward to more from you.

Brings back some old memories

Really liked the game :D

Well done in converting the old 8-bits song to a more realistic one :P

:') Finally, some Mother love.

This must've taken forever, man. Brilliant, could recognize every single song. XD Nice Porky Means Business. Love it, nothing else to say that hasn't already been said. ^^

Exceptionally well done!!

Once again, you've done such a great job of capturing the emotions that we all feel during the game and putting them directly into the music. I could listen to that rendition of Onett all day long :D lol. I've said it before and I'll say it again; your choice of instrumentation is phenomenal! It really felt like I was strolling past the Fourside museum, Teddy Bear in tow ^^ And I'm really glad you took the time and effort to make it as long as it is, because anything less wouldn't have taken me on the same journey that this one takes me on. My favorite part would have to be your version Scaraba, which, despite what the person below me thinks, is different than the desert music on your way to Fourside ("Dusty Dunes," the one with the radio in the background). But yeah, keep it up, and I can't wait to see what you'll surprise us eager listeners with next!

Long and epic

A little over 12 minutes long? That is one long orchestra medley. I can recognize every tune that plays in this song which is even better. Nostalgia ahoy. The intro sounds like a mix of the title screen and fourside put together and then it turns to the naming process part which sounds very soft and then to Onett.

Onett has such a subtle and cheery sound to it as well, real peaceful feeling. Sadly that meteorite was the start of the problems right? Then we switch to Twotown. I think it is pretty funny how the first four towns have numbers as prefixes in them as well. The long amount of orchestra in this is just mind melting to me.

The overworld themes vary a bit and I think the only time it is different is in Threed and the desert section where you hear a bit of a radio from time to time.

The hotel part was good and peaceful as well and it covers the morning after and the store area as well. The runaway five part was very good and comes close to covering the original theme as well.

Fourside is probably one of my favorite parts of this medley though. This is just one long and epic piece of music as well. Fourside had peaceful music but Moonside was so weird and bizarre along with having a creepy vibe to it to make it even worse.

Nice work on the desert area as well. It comes very close including the radio build up from the original, awesome job there. The monkeys were pretty chill and nice as well but you had to go buy so much to go through the cave. The subtle battle theme I hear afterward... is that from the Dinosaur section or what?

The Winter and Summer theme parts were nice as well. Threed with zombies area was nicely covered as well I think. I found it pretty funny how Poo came from a strange spot and the lake Tessie is a parody of Nessie. Nice work at 8:06 of doing a cover part of "Pokey, Armed and Dangerous" which isn't the Giygas theme as most think it is.

I remember that creepy thing's theme as heavy breathing and crystal sounds though. The Pokey boss theme was very well done though, I see it was also the longest part as well in the medley orchestra. Very nice work there.

I listened for a bit expecting to hear the Giygas theme but never heard it though. The peaceful tune after the Pokey theme playing at the end seemed like a nice way to end the song since it was credit music.

I like how the credit song itself in the game was simply a medley of all the songs in the game with a more softer tone to them. Good work here.

Overall, a long and beautifully done remake, nice work.
