Reviews for "! Music Mania !"

Dont listen to that asshole

This is a great game and if I had the time i would have played all minigames. gdrocker clearly does not have an open mind to all types of games. If anybody has not yet played this game make sure you do its a great chance to get into some light fun games. Now on to the review

The graphics were perfect for this kind of style. It really brings out the colorfulness of the music.
The style was one that I have never seen pulled off like this ever. Ive seen many games who do this cartoony kinda lookin thing and never get it right. You nailed it.
OMGTHESOUNDWASGREAT!!!!! I actually wanted to listen to this game, unlike many others where I need to listen to my MP3 player kuz there isnt a mute button
Interactivity could have been better for some of teh games like the one where u press sdf and jkl, just too many keys to keep up.
Overall its a great game and I strongly recomend this to anybody who reads this.

Great Games!

The mini games are great - even though I suck at the keyboard one, I feel cool just hitting the buttons and pretending I am even close to right on with the timing. I'm not so sure why so many people jumped on the negative bandwagon - the games are original, simple, fun, and easy to understand and play - as well as matched with great animation and sound. Just because a game is challenging doesn't mean it should be hated on. It's supposed to be hard!

None the less, I thought it was great. If I had to give any criticism it would be with the dodging game. The beat plays when you are dodging the obstacle, instead of when it comes on screen. So when the faster levels start up, by the time you hear the beat it is too late to push anything. Just my 2 cents.

Great stuff, I hope you make more!

Actually, it's... pretty crappy.

I think you still need to work on this thing. In the dodging level (on the left), I found that it was really hard to dodge a lot of the close-together spires, I couldn't get past level 2, to be honest! In the keyboard-based game (on the right) I found that the controls and the timing was really finicky; you'd either get a PERFECT after it entirely passes the key or you get a MISS after just the right timing. I think this game needs a LOT of work 'til this can really be deemed worthy of other peoples' spare time. Hate to be a nay-sayer when people seem to enjoy it, but... I enjoy writing it as much as you enjoy reading it, I'm sure.

Coolio-Niato responds:

The Beat Masher game you need to click on time with the sound and not when it overlaps the buttons. The first minigame was made to be difficult and its 100% possible to dodge the obstacles even when they are at their closest.

Lastly, when you comment on graphix in a review, you cannot give a 0. This game had what is known as "Abstract" graphix, so please review more carefully before giving a game that two people worked long and hard on a 3.

GOD, I LOVE THAT TYPE OF MUSIC

Man i love that type of music. This is the first kind of DDR that i like. i just i could play it in an action game.

Coolio-Niato responds:

Thank you, we do our best to choose fun sound tracks.

You had me at the end!

I played until the last game and i thought it was pretty hit and miss.
Then I read the description of the last game. I LOVE ELITE BEAT AGENTS!
I played that game for over sixty hours at least, beaten every song on every difficulty, (Hard Rock isn't that hard) and gotten the highest rank possible, which unlocked a picture of the Agents and Commander Kahn at the beach. Too bad EBA isn't as insanely hard as your last minigame!
This game is not your best efforts, but it is another good rhythm game to add to NG. I'd say the graphics aren't as good as they could be, especially when compared to Streamline. The music, although good, just wasn't catchy enough to really grab me. The synchronization was good, yet a bit suspect on the third minigame.
The first and second were too short, and the Disc Jockey one was brutally hard. Overall, I love F2Jam and Streamline and this game prooves that you two can make a good team. I hope to see more joint productions from you!
