Reviews for "Madness Mice"

Nice game but flawed.

To be honest, I think these games have been done way too many times. It also appears that with your graphical ability and actionscript skills you could create something far more worthy of any web game players time. Now the thing is, as pretty as it was, it just wasn't fun to play. After attempting the first corner on level and not succeeding I quit and didn't have the patience. Maybe if you are going to do this kind of game, make it less pains-taking. But nice work overall, i passed it.

The music was good.

Ignore the last guy. This was well put together. The thing that killed it for me was level 2. I can understand wanting to put a challenge in, but GEEZ! It was so tight that it was either impossible, or it was one where you have to creep along so slow that it takes 10 mins to complete, and I dont want to do that.

Needs improvement

First of all, the music sucks. Really hard. Either give an option to turn it off, change the music or don't add any music at all.
Then, the game was quite laggy, but that could be due to my crappy PC.
Whatever, the game needs some improvement in the graphics and in the level design. Just a path where I have to move the mouse through is boring. Use some "traps" where I have to navigate through!
That the game ends if one uses right click is a good thing, though.

Good idea.

Man, I remember me and my friends busting out the rulers and pencils and making mazes for each other in 4th grade. One rule was that you couldn't touch the sides which was cool, but only because we made some really crazy and different graphics in our mazes like trees, doodles, whatever. The point is, you guys could do so much more with this concept if you just had some cool art or level themes. Take some time and draw what interests you and incorporate them into your levels, like a medieval battle scene or the inside of a complex machine, whatever! I'd nix the animated background too unless you want to expand on your concept and not only create mazes but mazes that have animated traps or obstacles in higher levels. In the afore-mentioned siege battle them, have some stick figure knights running across a part of the maze to assault the castle, only to have some boiling oil poured on them at certain intervals which also happens to be another part of your maze. You could have cogs turning at intervals too inside your machine guts level... use your imagination. Vary the path widths inside each level more frequently to add difficulty instead of just making them a little thinner each level to ramp up. I like your crisp fonts and menu and you should add a sound effect to that cool graphic you have when someone touches the side. Again, great concept.

Ok.

Good things: Nice graphics and style!

Bad things: Repetetive and annoying music. The game itself gets repetetive and you need to focus too much with these small walls you have to guide the mouse through.

My suggestions:
Scrap the music and make something else play, a bit more quiet and not so repetetive.

Make the game more fun to play! Just guiding the mouse isnt very funny, add stuff you have to do, like moving objects to avoid, a button you have to press to open a door. Or a thing I tried in one of my mouse games, a teleporter. If you stand on a special button a ring appears around your mouse. This ring will fly slowly through walls and stuff to a new place and you have to keep the mouse inside the ring until it gets to the end where it disappears and from there you play normally again.

So, add more stuff into the game and Im sure it will be great!
