Reviews for "Shield Defense v1.4"

Is anyone old enough to remember Mexican Bandito?

This game is well done. Its an upgrade to an 80's arcade game called Mexican Bandito, where Banditos circled the sherrif. When there were 4 Banditos left, and they reached the corners, they all got closer to the center, doing this each time they reached the corners until there were no Banditos left (or the sherrif died). Being able to see each tanks shield level is a great play mechanism so you know which tank to shoot at. With so many levels and different tank-types and ammo makes this game a lot of fun. The sounds are pretty good too. The shield repair and other upgrades also show that this programmer is worth his salt. Pause is a good feature as well but I'd like to see a save added (unless I'm missing it). Kudos and enjoy this well thought out game!

yes

I agree with the last comment it does take some time getting used to and feels a little akward but u eventually get it. I ended up beating it on my first try.

great game dude

A great game, tircky, but great.

Takes a while to get used to, but is really worth it after that. But, as many others have said, this really needs a save feature. Hope to see an update sometime! And kudos on making a unique defence game!!!!

Great Game, but Needs Some Fixes

This game is very good, and could be outstanding with just a few fixes. As mentioned in other reviews, it's very long and can be ended be sheer bad luck at any point. There are two possible workarounds for this:

1. Add a save feature. This one should go in no matter what.

2. Add an upgrade to deflect incoming projectiles, that can potentially save you from an unblockable death assault. Make it, say, a Phalanx CAWS type system that can't reach enemy tanks but can shoot down their projectiles. Give it a charger like the shield, enough to only take down say three or four shots without spending fifteen seconds or so to recharge, and voila! You have a fun fix for the problem that adds to the already impressive strategic options of the game.

I like, alot.

As most people, I've lost the game because two shots were fired at the same time. You could do as the guy below me mentioned, yes...

Will you please let me see the code for that shield thing? The controls? I can't make anythig follow the mouse with restricted circular movement, only in a straight line or completely freely T_T.
