Spent way to much time on this game
Very fun game, reached a high of level 73 with all level 1 and level 2 rocket launchers. not sure how people have gotten higher scores than that, gets very difficult after level 60. FUN game though, a real time killer.

addictive and fun. great concept.
couple things:
after 11 turrets, it's near impossible to add a twelfth. price of turret increases, while you can't get any more money. ants have HPs up to 5800 or something at 75+ lvl, while your best weapon, the missile, only does about 60~80 per shot (it says it does 16, but does way more)
you're guaranteed to get to at least lvl 60 if you use missile launchers. all other weaponry is useless except for the ice cannon. ice cannons slow the ants down, effectively increasing the damage of your other weapons. two or three ice turrets will suffice.
so far, i've had most success by simply walling off the mound with turrets. if you zigzag the turrets, ants will have to twist and turn, giving you more opportunity to hit them. however, ants can 'guard' other ants from projectiles. lasers, electricity, sonic wave, poison gas can reach your target ant even if it has other ants shielding it; but they do way too little damage to be worthwhile past level 40 or so.
don't fret over the remaining cake. there's absolutely NO ADVANTAGE to having more pieces of cake left over. having more pieces actually can be frustrating, as ants get healed when they grab a piece. not much in the beginning, but it gets annoying after lvl 70 or so when ants heal more than 1000 hps by picking up a piece of cake.
concentration of firepower, for the above reason, is important. there are only 6 ants at one time, so there may be no need to hurry, but it does get really boring if you keep hitting ants, see theam heal, then go at them again... and again... and again...
WISH LIST:
1. turret prices need to remain the same, OR, money should increase as ant lvl increases. it quickly becomes 'let's hope this ant does not decide to go directly to the mound with its cake' kind of a game after lvl 75 or so (if you are one of those that reached lvls 100 and beyond, enlighten me please).
2. turrets need balancing. the missile launcher should be powered down, or everything else needs to get oomphed. right now, not only are they doing 5x more damage, but they seem to be damaging nearby ants as well, making it just way too powerful. the flamethrower especially is really weak; considering its limited range, it should probably be one of the most powerful.
3. bonus for having more pieces of cake? no point holding on to extra pieces of cake, other than in the late stages where it is impossible to nail an ant that has decided to go straight to the mound. having ants slow down while carrying pieces of cake, or having the weaponry power up by a certain percentage depending on how many pieces remain in the game would be interesting.
in all tho, fun and well made. good for a couple hours of play, but gets tiring once you get ants that are tougher than godzillas.
as far as defense games go...
This one is probably one of the best i've played.
