Needs to be softened.
It's there, all the melodies and rhythms are working quite well together, but most of the individual sounds by themselves have an annoying sharpness to them. I'm not sure if I'm expressing my complaint in a very intelligible fashion, but in order to fix this with brass, I'd say muff your horn, strings reverb more, etc. I also thought the transition at about 2:13 just sounds bad. I don't find a sudden stop with slamming of a single note on a piano very appealing. I understand that it is similar to the piano base line that's been playing all along, but it just hurts my ears =\ . The counter-melody which begins at 2:20 is fine, and works well when you go back to the original piece, but I think the higher-toned accompaniment could either be boosted, or have something extra added. This is good stuff, and I hope you don't take my recommendations as some harsh criticism. These are simply changes which would allow me to better enjoy this piece of music.
