In Legends they're not related tho, according to the game's lore, Barrell Caskett, grandfather of Roll Caskett, found baby Megaman in some ruins, Roll was the one to name him Megaman after one of her favourite videogame characters, but in Megaman Legends, megaman's true name is Trigger.
