Reviews for "Flashburn - Red Raver"

WOW

Holy this was best song I heard all day. This really got me going it was a bit on the repetetive side but that is ok because I loved every second of it. Good job for that

Im not a Dance man but hey this was awsome and deserves to be on front page of newgrounds..

Keep it up FB

Flashburn responds:

Wow thanks pie pie for all the positive reviews! it means alot

Nice song you have here

Im not the biggest fan of dance, but his song was good. One suggestion I have though is I think you use that long ride cymbal (or whatever it is) a little too much. Besides that the drumming was excellent! Like Dj_seri said, the transitions could better, but thats not really a big problem. I enjoyed how the song built up, especially when that cool synth comes in at the end.

By the way, how did you make that muffled sound in the begging, I might use something like that in future songs but I dont know how to make it.

Can I have your email adresss, just so I can contact you about Reason or anything like that. 5/5

Flashburn responds:

hey

Hello Flashburn, i dont review often, for that i appologize. I wil give you a nice long one now :P

1: Starts very well, a good trick to make the kick bass be more "present" in the song is too compress both of them with the compressor in the fx channel and pu their volumes to almost the highest., another trick, is to lower the synth volume, like in the begining, this song would have been sop much more of a punch if the volume of the synth was cut by two. Then the kick bass would have made an impact! which brings me to my second point

2: Add some transitions, in dance, its very hard to make a nice, flowing song. You need so many uplifters, and effects to keep the listener attentive. I suggest you listen to some CT by Rob Mayth. He is Incredible. Youll understand what i mean afterwards. Be original when u use your drums.

3: Avoid repetition, a REALLY good trick, which ive picked up from tune up and cascada is to double your synth after a few runs, add another instrument that compliments the synth. That eliminates the repetition, even if its the same notes again. Also, you can easily avoid repetition by copy pasting your synth and modifying little things.

This was VERY well mstered, in my opinion(my speakers are strong ty very much :P) and it had a very good structure. If you spend more time on your songs to work on the three aspects ive mentioned, youll see you will be able to show your true potential. i spend up to 1 month on my songs now, although they are too big for ng, i dont really care anymore, i hate being limited. ou should break the habbit of creating for ng. If you want any tips or help or whatever, add me on msn, ill bne more than happy to anwser your questions. We can collab too if you want.

Anyways. Lol ill leave you at that, i dont want to give you any of my secrets...not in this review anyways lol

Peace

Dj_seri
