Reviews for "Drowtales 6th bday ending"

My say ^^

I really like the animation but i dont know enought about the story to say much about that. I wish they went for longer but at looking at the size already to do what is already there... i would say it would be to much to load.

finally i just want to add, are the two female chars supose to be drow? cause if so...then there the nicest drow i have ever known... except for drizzt ^^. Also the females being the bigger and stronger sex in the drow society they dont seem like it, but this is the aurthours world which he had created and has the right to choose how the story and the char turn out.. i just wanted to throw some drow knowledge in there ^^, any way great stuff!

ps: drow are EVIL!!!!!!

....

At first when I saw this stuff I thought, eh this guy is just a huge nerd making all this drow fantasy stuff. Then I saw your pic and was then like, wow, when this guy isn't making flash he is expanding his CP collection and plotting new ways to get those grade school girls into the back of his van.

touched responds:

You should really stop molesting the corpses at that mortuary where you work. I think the embalming fluid fumes are affecting your mind.

sugary

I liked it, I really did. But the thing that kept popping to mind as I listened to the cheerful little voices was "I think I'm getting a cavity..."

However, bravo on the graphics.

Weird!

The girl on the LEFT with White hair sounds A LOT like the Voice actor who does AMY in Sonic X on TV.
hehehe.... dont u agree?!

What was that? How?

That's weird; the drawings looked like they've been drawn in Flash (or better, Adobe Illustrator) but when I zoomed in I could tell this movie was in fact a video file. So the question I'd like to ask you is : why "convert" a vector animation file into a plain movie file?

Was it because it was too graphic intensive? Like hair and eyes always moving around?

Was it because of that "little touch" that Flash just can't recreate? Like those little pixels created from the compression that makes the movie look more... anime?

Or is there another reason I'm missing here? I'd like to know more about your technique.

touched responds:

I would never intentionally degrade the picture to make it appear like an older form of media. I know people do that, but I don't think it's a good thing. The graphic intensity is a part of it, or rather would have been if not for the larger problem. As I mentioned before, I'm using AS, and the SWF export is a bit buggy, resulting in a lot of shapes disappearing and it doesn't handle masking or gradients properly. That, and since I was also using a lot of raster effects in the other parts, I just exported the whole thing to raster.
