Reviews for "Treekeepers"

Confusing ending

The only thing i understood from this is that they are defending a a tree from those who are want to cut it down. This reminds me of the sterotypical chaining themselves to the tree thing.

It was funny when out of no where this gun thing popped up and shot i suppose the saw machine. It was so strange i laughed.

Ending really confused me though i mean ok they stopped the biggest machine of them all but they did something with it that i have no clue about. I mean is it like a flower, a tree grew from it, a statue, etc.?

Overall it was an ok flash but next time try to make things a bit less confusing.

MorrowDays responds:

sure, I can do less confusing.

The ending was supposed to be the parts of the biggest machine rearranged into some sort of second tree, but I can see (from like, every review) that its pretty hard to understand, so in future animations, I'll stick to less abstract concepts.

paper towel wut?

uhhh that was ...cool? im sorta confused about what that was all about..

but that paper towel saved it:)

MorrowDays responds:

:) Actually, I had to search through many forests to find the exact right shade of light blue crumpled paper towel. It turns out to be quite hard to find.

o.o

I have no idea what the hell just happened.

I admit. I did laugh at the Argyle Lazer... but then again, I wouldn't have known what it was without you having explained it in your description.

Paper towel sky was neato. I did like the sketchy tree and stuff.

But, yeah... I'm still so lost on what that was about. o.o

MorrowDays responds:

Im going to post jagermeyer's description on the authors comments for people to see and understand, but basically it was about the two cultures coming together and sort of holding eachother up. That was what was supposed to be represented by the scene at the very end.

thanks for the comments, glad it made you laugh

hmmm

To tell you the truth, this makes me hate tree huggers and eco hippie jack holes even more. It seems to me that the message of the short is that Nature freaks are brainwashed, and boy doesn't that seem right.

MorrowDays responds:

sure, well, thats understandable, um, the animation was REALLY up for interpretation, so I'm not really offended by either the low score or that you hate tree huggers. I'm just glad it made an impact.

By the way, how do you know that the people were even trying to protect the tree? Maybe they were actually trying to stop the three vehicles from getting to the machine costume party BEHIND the tree. You will never know.

thanks for the review!

i think its deeper then it appears...

please respond to this and tell me if im right....i think it represents the fact that there is always someone who is out to destroy nature for the profits it brings...but theres always someone who is there to defend the remaining patch of life.....eventually we will meet a middle ground where the 2 can work as one cohersive unit....not hurting nature....benefiting off the life that can survive after its all said and done...

MorrowDays responds:

YAY!!! there we go. You pretty much just summed up the whole idea with better words than I could say.

Thanks for the review and description!
