Reviews for "Undead Chase!"

OHO

Its God song:D

SoS responds:

god on a mission amirite >:C!?

Thanks for the review!

Brilliant song for a great game.

Road of the Dead was defined completely by it's audio. It's music and voice acting of this caliber that made it so enjoyable and immersive. I will still say, however, you don't notice that while playing. Only maybe 25% of the music gets through to your ears when you're so focused on the game. You have to listen to the music by itself to realize what you've been listening to.

Most zombie games use the same techno brain melting bullsh*t to pump up the player. I'm liking the finesses in this classical approach.

The intro is a nice string buildup that fits nicely into the loop cycle. That first crescendo sets up very nicely for the initial open, furious parts of the game, and it's maintained very well with a percussion backing that gives this piece the rhthymic catch that is missing on some of the more classical pieces. The string finish ties it together nicely, but has a slight hiccup when it loops. Not very noticable.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of too much choir stuff, but I think you struck a very nice balance with this one.

Great work! How long did it take?

SoS responds:

Hey John!

Thank you for your review, it was a heart warmer :D!

I agree with you in that many of these games of this genre tend to lean towards the traditional techno/electronica approach to get people pumped so i'm glad this track was well received for the title.

The hiccup you are hearing is actually the flaw of the player on NG. Sometimes too early, sometimes too late, often right on time. I guess it's a buffer issue.

As for duration this song took 4 solid days, about 20-30 hours of work.

Thanks for the review, i'm glad you liked it!
