Reviews for "Tau'ri : Bedrock"

Great on a technical end, but a creative emulation

I know you're gonna hear this more than once and almost definitely be frustrated by it, but this is basically Loco Roco. The idea is obviously derived, so a clear credit might have been more fair. That aside, having created this in Flash is very impressive. I was wondering when those renowned scripting skills of your would finally find their way into a finished game. The graphics aren't bad either, although the music and style also seem to borrow from Loco Roco. Overall a good game, but not as unique as the writeup would have lead me to believe. Again, still good.

Actually, to be perfectly honest, i started interest in soft body engines due to Gish, i started on a game and gave up, and then when experimenting with mixing soft and rigid body physics i came up with this idea, i didn't actually know about LocoRoco till quite some time through the development

Lots of fun, but be honest

This is a fun, addictive game. But please, give credit where credit is due. This is obviously inspired by the game Loco Roco for the PSP. There are quite a few elements that are identical. It's never a bad thing to try to take an idea and change it to make it your own, but you should at least give credit to the originators of the design. Anyway, I still say you did a good job, and managed to put your own interpretation into it.

dELtaluca responds:

like i said to NegativeOne all those reviews ago, the similarity to LocoRoco is coincidental, i only found out LocoRoco existed when i was half way through designing the levels, and i reall didnt have time to go through and redesign all the levels again to try and make it more different.

uuhh.... pounding her son?

Fun game and I would like to see a second one (hopefully sooner then 3 years) But the game would be more interesting with better scenery and graphics (like a lil' face on the blob thing). The levels were well thought out and interesting but there were times where it felt down right impassable. Also the movement felt that I was forcing him to move. It would be nice for it to be a bit more smoother in its movement/

make it faster

i am a patient man, but i gave up after the 2nd level, it was just TOO slow!!!!!! other than the speed issue aforementioned, everything was GREAT!!!! keep up the gooder work

Fantastic, but..

I found a glitch.
If you roll the rock behind you when you reach the end of the level, it seems to think that you've left it behind, which can be rather annoying when you rolled and squeezed your way to the end of a long level.
