PSP kicks ass

I've seen so many little kids have a DS. Most of my friends have had a DS and said the PSP is better because I told them about homebrew and all the features it can do. They all have PSPs now. The PSP is way better than DS. The only thing the DS is good for are the mini-games on Mario or mabee Nintendogs. The PSP can play N64 and Other emulators like Sega or a Shoutcast Radio (no charge for anything). Nintendo really needs to get there asses aworkin cuz PSP whopping the DS's ass. So what the DS has so many game titles, but PSP has really good games. On PSP, you don't even need to buy UMDs, you can rip the games to a PC and copy them to your ms0 and play them with the game being in the PSP system. The PSP is also customizable. This is a kool vid how you can click X. I like that.

Well...

Let`s see here. I'm not a DS nor PSP fanboy, and I don't own any of those machines. As such, my review will not be centered on the advantages or disadvantages of either of the consoles, but directly on the flash, as it should.

At the beggining, it shows us an image of a psp... how original. Then, it scrolls words describing advantages of the psp (and the scroll up can be seen over the screen itself...) and finally it compares images of both the consoles. The problem is... that is NOT a flash animation. If you wrote it on word it would be equally entretaining (BORING). This does not belong here. This could be done on 5 minutes... and this should not make it to the page. Period.

nice movie dude :p psp does have more more functions and more games :P that last guy was rong bout prices anyways. the ds stands at £100 lolz

loved the psp layout also, but when you did the "more reason why" text stuck out on the psp :(

Reasons you're wrong

1. The DS relies on cartriges to minimize loading times. Since when was the last time you saw "loading..." on a DS?

2. I don't need my DS to watch movies. I have a dvd player. I don't need my dishwasher to cook dinner, I don't want my slippers walking the dog, and I don't want my brain deluding me into thinking that useless features like that are worth...

3. The price. DS? about £50 from a shop nowadays/ PSP? About £150

4. Graphics. Yes, woo, the PSP's graphics look better. But you made the DS look bad by stretching the two screens out of proportion of the one-screen PSP. And at the end of the day, it's a handheld, I don't care about the looks, i'm not that shallow.

5. Games. This has been mentioned before. The DS has LOADS of great games, mario kart DS, rayman DS, wario ware touched, new super mario bros, project rub, mario 64 ds, and many, many, many more. What do we have on the psp? the same kind sh*t the ps2 offered us with worse graphics.

6. GBA games. The PSP can play gba games if you download an emulator. The DS can play gba games. The GBA can play gba games. The gameboy micro can play GBA games. BIG WHOOP.

7. Wifi. Suure... whatever. You can play crappy games on a crappy console with a slightly superior wi-fi caipability. I've been using DS wi-fi for a long time and I haven't found any problems with it yet.

8. The PSP can update itself. What does this mean? It means sony can get away with releasing a flawed handheld just because they can make changes after it started being sold. The DS was perfect right from the start.

9. Features. So the PSP has a little analog stick and side buttons and all the usual? The DS has a touch screen and microphone, bitch. Both work very well. It's reached new areas of gaming. The PSP? Tried and tested.

Sure some people prefer the PSP, and i'm not going to judge them. But most of the people who like the psp have not tried the DS. I have (regrettably) tried the PSP. It was clear how bad it was from the moment I put the UMD in the wierd, tape player like, loading mechanism. Now look, i'm not a nintendo fanboy. I bought a PS1 and a PS2 rather than nintendo. But the PSP is really terrible compared to the DS. Who knows, maybe after the gamecube and the N64 nintendo are moving forward more, with the DS and the WII! SMD ya $600 ps3.
