Reviews for "Throwback the Duck Ep. 1A"

Okies.

I'll start by saying that you are a fantastic animator. Your characters are exteremly well-drawn. The mouth animations are top-notch, and you have a knack for detail.

Unfortunately, your shining talent is bogged down by two things: your voices and your storyboard.

The voices suit the charcaters well, but I have a problem with Throwback's especially. His voice his quiet, choppy, and lacks emotion. It is a bit different for some of the others, but Throwback being the main character and all really hurts the movie with his voice.

Also, the storyboard lacks much. It simply did not keep me interested. I understand that this'll be a long series, but the lack in humor, when that is seemingly the main genre of this, bogs it down. You may be shooting for a more family-friendly animation here, but a few better jokes and gags would help.

Overall, this was a two-sided animation. While the quality of the animation and the characters were good, the flash fell under the weight of displeasing voice acting and a less-than-satisfactory story.

Keep up the animating, though!

Excellent

Job well done on this one, although I have to say the electronic voice of the small bird was annoying, and hardly understandable (which is why you lost points in sound). I also suggest adding options for subtitles.

Good Animation

But I hate Throwback's voice. It just doesn't work for me - everything else is 100% professional except for that voice. I wouldn't really suggest changing it in this stage of the game, but maybe some voice acting lessons? His voice seems flat and whispered like you didn't want to wake someone up when recording them.

To sum it all up - Throwback's voice needs more ZAZZ!

Otherwise - a very solid job.

Nice look, poor content

I'd have to agree with the other reviews. Your animation and graphics are nice, and so was the music. Other than that, things are pretty mediocre. The only good voice was Ms Whatever. Everything else seemed too quiet. As the review below me stated, Throwback definitely needs some voice acting lessons.

The jokes in particular seemed lackluster. Please get a person with a decent sense of humor review your jokes. S/he needs to laugh for the joke to be put in. Otherwise, it makes a fool of your nice little toon. Maybe you could try to brand your humor to be more like The Office.

Good start.

Amazing graphics...terrible voice acting

you've obviously invested a great deal of time in the making of these flash's...you should look into getting a better voice for throwback...he doesn't sounds cool, he really sounds stupid...the other voices are all perfect though, keep up the good work
