Well done.
A nice simple shoot-em-up that doesn't try to be something it's not. Nice inclusion of a little storyline there--just enough to add a bit of spice, not so much as to be overpowering or cheesy. The sound effects were well done and appropriate, as was the music for the first minute. It got repetitious after that though. However I especially like the ability to move with the arrow keys while aiming and shooting with the mouse--it made it an absolute breeze to play through. Perhaps a bit too easy though, because I found that you could simply focus entirely on dodging while spraying bullets everywhere, and still win. (Except on that stage with the nuclear buildings...had to calm down my trigger finger a bit there.) The only frustrating moment I had was when I literally got right up to the last guy, then accidentally moved my mouse outside the bounds of the game and clicked the X instead of clicking to shoot! Whoops...didn't have the heart to play all the way through again, so my folly serendipitously discovered that the replay value was zero...might want to work on that a bit. Maybe if you create a sequel, have branching paths to encourage a replay. Or perhaps instead of picking up weapons mid-stage, you purchase them between levels. Like Space fires a sub-weapon, or some such jazz. Just suggestions. Good work overall though!
