I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on your analyses of Microsoft's lack of first party games. Nearly all XBOX games were made in conjunction with Microsoft Game studios. And Nintendo hardly made any games exclusively by themselves. There are a multitude of smaller companies that assisted with many of their games.
