good stuff here. great theme.
it may be my browser but i see too many things with "undefined" explanations. what does that mean? also, placing crops/animals is a pain. is there a need to click back to the menu each time i want to place the same crop? a tutorial would be nice, too.
a bit of polishing and this could be great.
overall, great work.
Played it after a long time. Is easy to finish if you don't get a very bad event at the beginning. The trick is to pick cheap crops and have more than one if some of then fail, education and health are very important factor in production too.
I have finished the game... and supported my family. I know gain the knowledge of how hard farming is
way to random, place crop.. loose all.. place opium get some money, place crops loose all...
that was like after the 3rd restart.
Solid game. A few problems I saw were:
-Crops sometimes disappeared after being planted
-Putting down multiple crops was a tedious task (i'm sure real farmers have it harder, but this is a game after all)
-Difficulty is either too easy OR too hard (Restarted twice due to really bad luck, and easy sailing after getting pigs)
-No real tutorial
-Couldn't find out if there was really a crop past peanuts, but it showed up on the yearly report anyway?
-Graphics/Static images (nothing moved or had any idle animations)
There are a lot of good parts about the game however. The content is there in ample supply, and with a bit of polishing this could be a really fun game. As it stands I'd say this is a solid game between 3 and 4 stars.
