Simple, yet effective...
That's the best way to describe this game.
Graphics: Good. The graphics, though simple, are highly polished. They bring back fond memories of such fantastic titles as Grid Wars 2. The game could have used more of a background though... (7/10)
Style: Good. The game hasn't been overloaded with a whole lot of necessary 'stuff', and the package comes together coherently. The 'negative space' (lots and lots of blackness) comes to mind as a weakness again, and also the message that appears when you die is a grammatical horror. Still, good overall. (7/10)
Sound: Ok. The sound isn't quite as good. The effects are too quiet and the music, while good, is repetitive and forgeable. Not too bad though... (5/10)
Violence: Very little. I suppose blasting enemy ships out of the sky is violent, but let's fact it, these ships are just geometric shapes. (1/10)
Interactivity (game play): Not bad. I would have preferred it if you could move your ship forward and back as well as left to right, and perhaps a few more options would have made it more interesting, but keeping with the simplicity ethos, it's pretty good. (6/10)
Humor: Very little. There is a mildly amusing bit in the soundtrack, but that's about all. (1/10)
Overall: Good. Despite a few problems, this is a pretty good game. I'd recommend you increase the ship's range of motion and add a background. (7/10)
