Reviews for "Korean Love Story"

npNBeT comrade

Exilent, sorry i couldnt get a review in earlier....~.~

Kenzu responds:

But you have reviewed it now.

Muchas grazias companero!

An innocent romance that kinda made me smile.

You did well to capture the flavour.

I liked the graphics that were kinda precisely drawn shapes, but found them to be sloppy here and there. Specially when the boy is banging on the glass and going into the sunset.

The various scenes you show do indeed give a great flavour to the piece.

The backgrounds - specially the trees - are kinda sloppy. I think it'd have been good if you'd 'built' them of more precise shapes, to complement the look elsewhere.

The story is a tiny bit cheesy, but still got me to smile.

An innocent romance that kinda made me smile. The messy graphics were at times kinda distracting though.

Kenzu responds:

I was in a huge time pressure. That's why it isn't perfect.

cute

this was a cute flash. the graphics were a bit simple but you did have nice detail in the statues. I think it is also awsome that you show so much pride in your country. I noticed that in this flash and I think that is cool.
pretty good job

Kenzu responds:

I'm not Korean. ^_^

Nice Flash comrade

To the guy below me: Evidently you're unable to understand what this flash is about and even ignore what the very same author writes about it... Well, to enlighten you on some things as you requested: 1) The symbol is not the usual symbol of communism but the simbol of DPRK's instead, as DDR had its own symbol and so did PPR, RDPR and the Soviet Bloc if you like. 2) The tank: This girl and this boy are hanging out together and theuy decide to go to a PARADE, yes, a PARADE! No love-tanks invation but a parade. If you and your girl are patriotic, your country conmemorates a military victory you may assist to a parade together which is very normal if you are patriotic. 3) DPRK claims itself to be a socialist state so, it's understandable the ammount of communist icons taht will be implied in a flash involving DPRK. 4) Yes we communists love our red, any problem with that? 5) Over patriotic... hmmm... you better define what "being over patriotic" means. Patriotism implies love for the one you consider your nation and it's not bad, at least not in my perspective, to love your nation a lot, in fact love is a great value. There's a difference between nationalism and patriotism you must take into account.

Kenzu responds:

The symbols of DPRK are:
Hammer, Paintbrush and Sicle showing 3 classes: Workers, "working intellectuals" and peasants.

GDR had a hammer and a "Zirkel" which symbolised engineers. Together it symbolised the working people, or the workers in general.

PS: I don't know a single socialist or communist, who doesn't like RED!

Propaganda like I haven't seen since WWII

I can't beleive that I've hassled Americans about being over patriotic before. This is a perfect example of communism affecting the minds of the innocent. I'd like to point out a couple of moments that I found to be especially commu-licious:
Load screen: United Korea, Korea is one! Does South Korea WANT to be one with you guys? Does ANYONE want to be? I think most of the world is feeling a little threatened right now, but I may be wrong. Though I doubt it.
Guy following girl: Very subtle way of dropping the flag in there buddy. I'm not even sure what it was, two hammers and a spear? I thought the communists were rather partial to the hammer and the sickle, but again, I implore you to enlighten me.
Statue: Who is that? I have no idea, please inform me.
Running: He runs by not one, but three of the aforementioned flags. You really love your red huh?
Soldier: Some blue soldier blowing a horn whilst some flags flap mightily behind him. Inspiring communism.
Tank: The guy and the girl finally understand each other, rainbows jump appear out of nowhere, hearts are flying, they share a lovely meal...and a tank rolls by... is that normally what happens when people are in love? If so lemme know now, so I can prepare myself for the inevitability of an invasion of love tanks.
Wow, all that communism rolled up into an inspiring love story about cats. Aside from all the blatant communism though, it was a thoroughly bad flash. Movements were horrible, characters were bland, but since it was all done on computer (I'm assuming with no tablet) I'll cut you some slack there. The only GOOD memorable part of this flash was the music, which I'm sure will bring me laughter for weeks to come.

Kenzu responds:

First of all, everything affects "the minds of the innocent"

Many Koreans want to unite, some Koreans don't. You will always have that. But it's the majority that's important, not the minority and that's why they should unite.

"Two hammers and a spear?".
You are a funny person indeed, not knowing anything about Korea.

"He runs by not one, but three of the aforementioned flags."
Almost each scene shows something which symbolises Pyongyang: Cholyma statue, leader poster, Juche tower, banner of the party, Ryugyong hotel, May day stadium, korean school, leader statue, monument to heroes, pyongyang metro, soldier blowing horn on the main plaza in Pyongyang, parade with tanks...

These are no "love tanks". The last part shows what things they do together, for example eating in a restaurant and visiting a parade.

I have drawn a great valentines movie and all you do is to rip of monuments from the movie and use them to spit on communism. Oh, you also spit on my work. Shame on you.

You are a very biased person, brainwashed so much that if something appears red to you, you try to destroy it instantly, willing to choose anything but this. People like you are responsible for Hitler comming to power. I'm sure you would rather vote NSDAP, just to prevent KPD from winning.

It's very sad how blind you are.
You fill my heart with sorrow.
