Reviews for "The Con"

Strange

The movie was strange overall in storyline. I could understand the revenge on the two con artists but the ex-girlfriend did what? The guy in the car didn't fit in in my mind.

But anyways the artwork and perception is amazing! The stick figures moved pretty humanly, although a bit slow. But I loved the different perceptions. Props to yah!

Nicely done.

You communicate the story very well albeit through the use of bathroom-esque door sign people (reason I docked you points for graphics), other than that, the line art world these people live in was nice and I liked the use of pop up images to suggest what people are saying/thinking.

The story was the best part about this, but unfortunately some bits were made a bit less attractive because there were some gaps without sound which made it seem a little disjointed.

Overall nice job, bitches ain't shit - I genuinely laughed at that part. nice.

So the guy was conned out of a few bucks and lost a materialistic girlfriend. So he _kills_ the conmen? And frames his former girlfriend and her new boyfriend for the murder? And at the end, you say the moral of the story is "b***** ain't s***."

It would be nice to think that this was all somehow tongue-in-cheek, but I didn't get that impression. Forgive me if I'm wrong. It looks like you wrote this thinking "serves them [the conmen and girlfriend] right." No, it doesn't serve them right, to be butchered/framed for murder.

Alright

It was alright for a stick type flash. There was obviously time and effort put into it. But you either need to get yourself a writer or spend more time planning things out before you animate, because some things just didn't make sense. Most prominent of which were: that the police would push a woman to the ground for no reason, that they would point three guns at her even though all she had done was open the door, and that they would assume whoever lived in the house that the car was outside of MUST have been the murderers. I'm even more surprised that they WERE convicted in the end, unless other things were going on that you did not show...

By the end, I was more sympathetic toward the 'bitch' and the attractive guy than the loser you chose for a main character. I'm still not sure if that was your aim or not.
