Great game
Graphics:
The graphics where very good, but in some instances fairly bland. The park would deffinately have to be the best looking map.
Style:
I enjoyed the action RPG style gaming you decided upon, but there was some things that perhaps could be channged. Look for those at the end of the review.
Sound:
You used CSS sounds, which fit in nicely, but more of a music variety would have been nice. Thanks for adding a no music option, even though I don't use it. It is annoying in other games when you don't like the music, and you have an option to turn of the sound period, and not just the music.
Violence:
It is a game about shooting hordes of zombies... Nuff said.
Interactivity:
I enjoyed how you could spend points on skills for your character. It made the game customizable, but I would have liked to see some other kinds of customizations other than skills & traits.
Humor:
It is ment to be a serious game, but I would crack myself up sometimes when I would have no bullets in the clip and one in the chamber of the glock, and I thought I would be cool and let the zombie come as close as possible and then fireing... But somehow I miss and it kills me.
Overall:
It is a great game and I love the style and feel of it, but there are some things that I might have done diffrently.
1. Even on hard mode it is way too easy to become god with the glock. All you need to do is get to level 5 and you are bound to have smooth sailing from then on. If you made it increasingly difficult to master the pistol and the other weapons it would add difficulty.
2. The Park has dramaticly less intensity in the battles, because there is a big fence that protects you from an onslaught of man-eating zombies. This slows the action in this map, and makes the hard mode even easier.
3. The Streets has those unwalkable black areas (which I am assuming are buildings) that look awkward just being black blocks of vaugeness. Perhaps if you detailed them it would look better. Also, you can shoot through it, but you can't walk through them, creating a choke-point that leaves the zombies coming that way defenceless having to take the corner without cover.
4. Zombie types would be awsome in this game, because if every now and then you ran across a blazingly fast zombie charging you, you would be suprised and startled. Maybe you could incorperate a boss-like zombie, or diffrent speicies of zombie. Woof!
5. It would be neat if most of the zombies traveled in swarms (like how lions travel in prides) so that the action is amplified. Every now and then you would find the lone zombie, probibly a diffrent type.
It is a great game, and a story mode should be interesting. If you incorporate anything here I would be flattered. This is a great game, especially with it being your 1st. It is well thought out (espcially when it comes to the backstory) and I can't wait for an update... Afterall, you are already Daily #1!
