Reviews for "Blackhole Earth Consumption II"

great, but...

It's great, and there are a lot of improvements that I've noticed, but at the same time, I'm personally against the whole "wall of sound" method of production, because it really kills the dynamics. A lot of the punchiness of the mix seems to be gone now because you've compressed the guitars and brought them so far forward, the kick drum seems extremely drowned out, and the snare sidesticks now are hardly distinguishable from a normal snare hit to me. this is all just some constructive criticism, and you can take it however you like, but I think that the original Black Hole Earth Consumption was one of your last great songs in which I didn't have a problem with the mix itself. around when you started posting songs from the album you were planning on doing, I noticed the mixes were very compressed compared to your older stuff, and that took away from the punch that I loved in songs such as Project XeRa6.

Nagging mix issues aside though, the lead sound, and especially the delay effect applied to it, is much more prominent now, and the cleans seem a lot crisper, and it is overall a very solid sounding mix. some of the background synth stuff is much more noticable.

I agree with how you say this is one of your masterpieces, as this is easily one of my favorite of your works, and it has probably helped influence my current attempts at making spacey music. Keep it up, I've been checking everyday in hopes that you post something new, and I'm still waiting for your next big song to come up in your audio submissions.

Very nice

It reminds me of Animals as Leaders, with the djenty riffs and the progressive ambience blended in.

Great piece

You can never get to heavy when it comes to metal

god, i just imagined this with Roy Kahn singing. That would be insane, or the guy who sings for evergrey.

Even without lyrics its amazing though. I love how the synth is still audible even with the hard foreground.

THIS SONG JUST MADE MY YEAR.
