Great... but you're a liar.
I hate it when people think mildly about the reasons our soldiers are in iraq or anywhere in that area.
(Our soldiers are spread throughout the world, retreating from iraq would only mean redeployment in another area close to iraq. Pay attention to what the Dems are saying)
That out of the way. There's also a force of terrorist cells that were cooperating long before 9/11. The extremists are basically in the line coming up from the middle east and following the border of india and russia. They extend all the way through the continent of asia, and they've hated us LONG before you were ever born.
This goes all the way back to before the crusades (they hated europeans long before then because of the might of the spreading christian faith)
This isn't something we can become passive about. It's not something we can ignore. (That's what clinton did, soon after his term.... boom)
And if you think there were no terrorist groups involved in Iraq before we went there... don't be so naive. I don't care what those jackasses say in the media.
Trust me, if our soldiers weren't in the middle east, we'd have many more casulties in our own turf.
We cannot fail in Iraq. If we fail there, we'll give them the idea that they can succeed in defeating America, so there'd be many more 9/11.
And if you think the Dems really WANT to withdraw, I think you need to refer back to when they had the chance and could only find 3 votes in their favor. So they love to play politics with it because they want to get elected. Don't believe whole-heartedly what they say... it's a mind game to get Dems power... they won't withdraw if they were in office. Pay attention to what they're saying before.
"We should send more troops to Iraq"
-John Kerry
"We should send more troops to Iraq"
-George Bush
No difference.
Good job on the cartoon.
