Reviews for "Where Water Once Was"

Relaxing, cool.

I thought something like this might get repetitive, at first. You know, only fifty seconds. and some guitar, but I just sat reading with this in the background for a little less than half an hour before I really realized it was a loop.

I really like the little, interesting distortions. The grindy, zappy noises that pop up regularly. And the pace of the song gets really balanced by the addition of the second guitar track halfway through.

One thing I think would improve the song, is to bring down the cymbal. It seems to come in just a little too loud, from my point of view. And if I had to complain about anything else, I'd say the transition from the end to the beginning of the loop is just a little bit sudden.

Other than that, I think you did a great job. I didn't at all mind the length of the loop, and it was all good and smooth. Keep it up.

very calming...

usually, im not in the best of moods, but this loop is very calming and smooth.

i have to admit, it almost put me to sleep from the relaxing tune. :D

hope you turn this into a full melody someday, im sure it'd sound really great!

nice

its a nice chill tune but the electrical sound..sounds like a zapping noise.. can do without. but still i like it

Just my style. Thanks for listening.

A nice loop

Here you made a simple but well made ambient loop.

The track is 49 sec long. IMO too short, that's why I give you only 8/10, but those seconds are properly done, rich and the sounds are interesting.

We can hear 2 echoed clean guitar riffs as the main instrument here which gives us the rhythm and the note. With reversed sounds and percussion the drums start with a jazz feel, then follow one by one quickly picking up the tempo.

Nice one and simple
3/5

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Thanks for the good review. Need more like this.

I had always intended on making a full song out of this. I have the files somewhere. I'll find them again and probably finish it at some point. Sorry for the short length.

Jazz has always been a strong influence.

thanks, man.

You know what's neat?

You can play this song at the same time as Tool's "Disposition" and get a really neat track.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

Haha, I'm going to have to try that. That's awesome.
