This reminds me of a game we played on Shumagorath

Shumagorath.

MattPrior responds:

yeah ive seen games like this made before
i didnt really care seeing as this was just a test.

2 thumbs up

very good , but sometimes the ball would get stuck and just go up and down, but besides that it was alright

MattPrior responds:

thanx, by the way the ball dididnt get stuck its velocity on the z axis was just really low giving you the appearance that it was stuck.
this happened because the velocity is a random number between 1 and 20 you probably got a fraction.

Its a very nice game

but everyone does the 3d pong type games alot now, yours was better than most of them ive played, trust me, and it was more colourful except i noticed a tiny glitch or something in the top left hand corner it always missed so the coloring was good, the 3d effect and shading was nice touch but might wanna fix that problem.

thanx the reason i did one and the reason most people do them i think is to get started in to 3d once you get the engine working the principles of pong are relatively easy to program.

awsome!

great game! although theres a few things you can fix.
the games went extremely fast, and the bot needs to be better.
its hard to tell how close the ball is, and the if you've hit it or not. what would be nice is when you hit the ball it makes some kind of noise.
its cool, but it gets boring really fast. maybe if you had the ball speed up, or the bot get harder. what might be nice is if you had levels, so on level one the bot is x hard and the ball is x fast, then the next level the bot is harder and the ball is faster, ect ect. power ups would be cool to.

the engine is great, but you need to work on the gameplay a bit! but still awsome, i fived it.

MattPrior responds:

thanx yeah the problem with the bot is that its very sensetive just a slight change in its difficulty level(speed at which it moves to where it thinks the ball will go) and its almost impossible to beat.
if this was going to be a full blown game i would of put in levels, powerups, portals, diffi culties and obsticles(some controlled by the music).
but it was just a test-nothing more, nothing less.
someday i might go back add all those things in and re submit you never know.

i added the guide lines to help with the problem of telling where the ball is but it doesent really help the game play that much if you look at the paddle if its hit the ball it will go red for half a second.
thanx again

not bad

I liked how you made the game and I think it's a great 3D zone. Only thing is that I found it really hard to tell when the ball was actually going to reach my screen even with the moving square shadow. Plus the ball seemed like it stayed the same size so, it didnt seem like it was moving back and forth adding to the difficulty.
