Fantastic piece, I love wheres waldo things like this.
When I was a kid we used to draw army guys vs. space aliens with stick figures and gun trails that are very reminiscent of this style.

I used to draw transforming robots that I was inspired by some Saturday Morning (and afternoon weekday) shows when I was a kid. The sad thing is I withdraw my childhood drawings in the trash without reserving it for the internet in the future. I wasn't clever enough back then.
