Quaint
Quaint says it all I think. You have accomplished something magnificent here. You've made something that's both funny and heart touching, sentimental but having significance and applicability to us all, and at the same time entertaining -- it's definitely one of my favorites now. It was clever, short, and charming.
While the animation and the sound were smooth, I think just about any medium would have worked here. You had a story to tell and a mood to set. As I see it, the story is the real masterpiece here -- I'm glad that I was able to experience that.
Keep up the good work, your style here on Newgrounds is refreshing. Sadly, much of the humor here now is simply that of ADD channel surfing like Robot Chicken. Although I tend to enjoy these random bits, most the humor is just built on momentum. This is a perfectly legit humor type, however, it seems too abundant right now. Your animation was incredibly straight forward, and the jokes had a stand alone complex that were good in their own right (instead of a build up from previous jokes). I especially liked the ending "I seem to be in a grave situation."

But even a negative review can be helpful and constructive if the writer has the ability to express clearly what he believes could be done to improve the work, making intelligent observations and suggestions. Idiotic remarks such as "I don't like the music", or "It's not funny" serve no useful purpose except perhaps to give an indication of the writer's I.Q.

That was a cute story, and I had some laughs. It's definatly original, but what I really loved was the artwork and frame by frame animation. It was smooth and flawless from what I saw.

im with ubersjkirk. that was really refreshing in comparison to all the satirical sort of toons (most of which are just sad attempts) and all the other typical things you find on newgrounds. fictional or not, it was a very nice, simple story with heart and a touch of class. btw, loved the headstone at the end

I was so happy just watching this. An origanal story with some heart. I dont even care if it was or want based on someone real. Although i'm certain it was.
Its refreshing to see a movie that isn't a satire, or based on some meme. It was good just to sit back and laugh.
