This is the worst game on Newgrounds!!!
Now then, now that I have your attention, I can tell you what I really think. This game is actually very original and very nicely done. I havn't wrote a review in a long time but I felt as though I needed to here. First off, for those of you who don't like this game because it is too hard, I understand completely. I thought the exact same thing at first and even gave this game a zero because of it (I later went back and gave it a 5 the next day). But...the thing that made me play it again, was going back to the tutorial and realizing a few things. When blockhead interacts with an object, WAIT...he will turn red while he is thinking of something idiotic to do with the object, as soon as he turns green, press the interrupt button or the space bar and immediately advert his attention by click on another object or a place for him to walk. This is how I made it through all the levels, by simply finding an object, waiting for him to glow green, interrupting him, and finding another object to click on. The whole thing with the people and clicking on them to get him to walk places, works only in rare situations, objects are better. Plus, for those of you tired of blockhead talking to people, don't carry around an item. This increases his chance of bother people. I have had no problem whatsoever with unintentional interactions when no item is in my inventory. Trust me the game is not terribly difficult if you follow this (which can all be found by going back to the tutorial once you have played the game and know a little bit about what to expect).
My real review of this game is as follows:
graphics: 9. Kick ass. Damn good perspective in the cut scenes, very good in the levels.
style: 10. Original and very well done.
sound: 9. No distracting background music where it is not needed, humorous conversations (both with people and conscience). Nicely put together.
violence: 5. The only violence was his conscience talking about death and the way blockhead destroys stuff. Both were funny.
interactivity: 10. I want to stress here that if 11 were possibly, this would be an 11. Will it is sometimes hard to control blockhead, there is a lot the user must think about and do to complete the levels.
humor: 8. The whole thing about a really weird and sometimes idiotic person doing something that men of authority think they are brilliant for has been done. Think about the movies Corkie Romano and Beavis and Butthead Do America. There are many other examples, so for that, I had to deduct a point. But the humor in the interactions with people and conscience and in the cut scenes are great. And just because it has been done, doesn't mean it wasn't done well in this case.
Overall: 10. Great, f'n great.
I havn't watched any blockhead episodes but I think I will after playing this game.
