Reviews for "In My Dreams"

Neat!

Very good, reminded a lot of Brackenwood.

Fairly impressive

I'm always impressed by Adam Phillips style and i'm over joyed to see more then one animator with the capability to use it. I can understand why it's not meant to be understood, (lol paradox XD), The entire was based on a dream, (A pretty damn lucid dream by the looks of it), and as such it doesn't neccasarily need to make sense as most dreams don't have significent meanings in real life.
Bullshit out of the way, time to comment on the actual flash.

I really like the smoothness of the fbf however I think the animation of the guy when he's beside the lake could have been better. The BG art astounds me, I honestly couldn't draw that to save my life. Could you possibly tell what that blinking light that broke at the end was? I thought it was the TV, but i'm not sure.

Just like Littlefoot, I love it!!!

I really love the way you drew this. Really beautiful, and very smooth. I like it. I'm gonna put this in my favs along with Littlefoot. 5/5

enjoyed and...

I really enjoyed this animation, what be strange while I don't really like this too peacefull and too innocent animations or other artistic ways. But there was something, something deep what touched me. I like it, and I think a compliment from someone, who not really like at all this kind of animation, even greater than other's...

And yeah, I like the way you credited the used .wav files in the end, thats too correct I think :D

This reminds me...

of a Virginia Woolf novel called "To the Lighthouse". It's an early 20th century novel and one of the first few--and definitely on that revolutionized, to put it in a word--the concept of 'stream of consciousness', that is the constant flow of ones thoughts and how they can go from one topic to another, rambling on with barely a pause.
The story features its characters in a 3rd person perspective except that wit the 'stream of consciousness' you don't really follow the plot of the story, you're more focused on what they are thinking--and without notice it'll be in the perspective of another character.

This animation did just that, except with dreams--I really liked that. And like with Woolf's novel, it takes more than one look to fully understand--if there is anything that you need to understand in the first place. It's a dream. When did our dreams really make sense in the first place?

(shit this was long, sorry about that! ^_^')
