Eh.
An interesting game, but like others have said before, its like three steps in the wilderness or caves and BAM random monster fight. Got very tedius in the caves. Couldn't stand it and quit the game.
The feature of being able to fight practically every NPC was interesting, but going around and beating up citizens, reclining swordsmen, hat vendors, and merchants to get better xp than from monster fights seems a tad on the strange side.
Combat engine frustrated me at times. It was easier to dodge by using "attack" to have the character walk forward and dodge attacks than it was to use the jump button. Diverse gear and items, though. That, and because some monsters or NPCs danced around all the time, battles where I easily outmatched them (such as any of the rat creatures) took more time than I thought was needed.
Although this isn't among my favorites, the sequal intrigues me. Good luck, and I hope to see an improvement in your game making skills.
