I always wondered why the series was called "Final Fantasy" too!

Tis a mystery to me why they keep calling it that... Maybe the creators are bad at making up names...

And actually the reason it started out being called "Final Fantasy" is because Final Fantasy I was the last hope of Square whateveritwas at that time. The name just stuck in the interest of marketing.
I dunno, kind of incomplete.
It was ok, but you missed FF Mystic Quest for the SNES. And if you named Advent Children, which was a movie, you might as well have named the first one as well, The Spirits Within. And that Black Mage voice needs a re-recording.
