Reviews for "Pumpkin Shootout (demo)"

Pretty nice

It was good, however when you stop walking the background still moves. Nitpicky but still annoying. And the bullets didn't go far enough, but apart from those 2 things, very good.

Yeah

Good game. A little repetative after a while, but I love the oldschool hiphop beet.

too bad its not done

to bad you couldn't get the whole thing done for halloween! I enjoyed it but would like to have seen power ups and stuff like contra! Finish it up and it should be pretty good. oh yea and some different ledged to jump on would add alot too

In this demo, your character is that of a pumpkin and your goal is to shoot and destroy as many skulls and purple bats and other creatures as possible all while in a cemetary. I really think this is one of the best demos I have played that are in this file size range. There are some improvements that could be made for the full version, such as, have levels. I got up to 500 points with perfect health. I am not saying make it super hard, but an increase in difficulity and a change of characters to try and destroy would be nice. The music loop was good and was of an appropriate length for this demo, but hopefully in future versions, it would be longer or varied for multiple levels. The look of the characters are great - hands down, very nicely detailed and there are no real improvements needed. The same can be said for the background. Even while it was on a short loop, it still looked great. Keep up the good work!

^^Good Points^^
This game shows some promise in my eyes. The graphics are very good. MC's are constantly moving, and the background animation shows good perspective and life-like background changes.

^^Needs Improving^^
Some odd things about this game. When you walk at full speed, the green pumpkin things just stay at the right side of the screen and never progress towards you. Must have something to do with the ground moving. I'm also surprised that you didn't add any sound effects to this. I sense the full version, if ever made, will be very good.
