Reviews for "Black Coffie"

You have inspired me.

This is the one song (honestly) that has inspired me to play jazz piano. I have been a pianist for awhile, but I just had to play jazz after hearing this song. I really don't want to seem like I am using you man. But I can't find a version of this song on sheet music that seems similiar to yours. Could you please provide me with a link of where you found this? My email adress is emcnally1@mac.com. I would really, really appreciate it. Thanks a lot man you're great.

Wow!

I found myself humming to the tune the very first time I listened to it!

love this classy and Casual sound!

I found that this music has a kind of Peanuts Gang, Snoopy & Linus theme to it. Overall I love it. Sounds like the music I have running in my head as I go about my day. Casual, Jazzy, and Classic. Keep it up!

perfect

Ive fallen in love with this song completely. Do you know a site where i can find this sheet music, I've looked all over and can't find it. Or if you could take the time to e-mail it to me I'd be so happy. If you have the time it's nwmaan@hotmail.com

Gwave responds:

Ok ill see if i can mail it to ya.

Needs more feeling after the intro

Starts a little slow, but then starts to swing really nicely, fits the piece well. Unfortunately this soon fades, leaving a slightly jaunty rhythm unsuited to the melody, sounding like its played verbatim from the score, albeit after a lot of practice. Listen to as many versions of the song as possible to get a better feel for it, and ease up accordingly - more swing, more soul, less staccato. I definitely agree with the reviewer who suggested Ella Fitzgerald's rendition for a good start. I'll be looking forward to the next one...
