Reviews for "Jazzy Ragdoll"

In the right direction...

It's a very interesting concept, but it needs some levels and longevity.

OK

To the last guy:ASS. This game was Ok, but could be better. If you make another one, add more game modes and more useful power-ups. Overall this could have been better.

It needs a challenge.

The concept works, but it's lacking... an element of pressure.

I think the problem is that it's possible to play indefinitely as long as you keep your ragdoll fairly small. Yes, that 501 currently sitting atop the scoreboard is mine... I was having fun making the ragdoll bob its head and dance around the screen, but eventually the amusement of this palled and I drove the poor fellow right into a mine to end his misery.

The music's nice, considering the game's small filesize, and I did like the selections you made. Controls are fun enough, making ragdoll spin about in midair and plow into the floor for diving catches.

One thing I noticed is that, when the ragdoll collects a Scale Up item near the bottom, he may be launched all the way to the top of the screen -- if he makes it that far before munching a mine.

Here are a few ideas for some things that might make a game like this more challenging and fun:

-- Offer more points for collecting the green prizes at larger scales, encouraging players to take the risk of playing a larger ragdoll for the chance of a better score

-- Present fewer Scale Down prizes (or take them out entirely)

-- Gradually increase the speed of the mines and prizes, requiring the player to scale up to keep up to speed (it seemed to me that the ragdoll covered playfield area more quickly at larger scales).

-- New enemy type (maybe only appearing at higher levels): Mines that change directions randomly.

-- Offer varying levels of points prizes, perhaps with the more valuable prizes appearing only in higher levels of the game (and, of course, more rarely than the +1 prizes)

Just a few notions that might help make this a more interesting game.

Thanks for this reveiw.
These are really great thoughts.
If I do make a sequel I will have this in mind, thanks.
These are really good improvements which would make it more entertaining, you're right.
If I'll add all this I really look forward to a sequel. :)
