Ok... I don't usually rate the games. think your is the first. My opinion... NICE!
The graphics got a 10 in relation to the style. (The style was ment as an old arcade game, and so the graphics were perfect). Sound is the same. Violence... well... you shoot at stuff. But, it's pixle violence. Not a bad score. Just not a bloody, everyone dies animation. Interactivity gets a 10 (it's a game so... uh... yeah). The game wasn't funny, so 0 (not a bad score, as you weren't going for humor.
Overall, 10 because it was just that... great overall.
Its just like the asteroid game
the graphics were better than atari but still low, its basically the same asteroid game that i played when i was a little kid so not much style, the sound was as good as it can get for that type of game, violence... , its a game so its interactive, and theres no humor,

Ok, your first game wouldn't work with OSX at all, and this one uses the control key. Program for something other than windows, will ya?
Besides that, good game- bit on the hard side, though.

Seeing as I dont have a Mac, or have access to one, how can I program for anything other than windows? I try my best to make my games work for everyone, but I can't avoid things that I dont even realise will be a problem untill after release.

i really didnt like this one over the first one.
untill i learned you could USE CONTROL TO STOP THE SHIP. now, its an amazing game. i WOULD suggest adding a setting guide that allows the player to choose whether he/she wants a scrolling screen or not.
that seems to be an issue on whether people like or dislike this game to the last. then, they could play an upgraded version of neon1 as you could say, or the new neon 2 as is.
ANOTHER MAJOR, MAJOR SUGGESTION: different control scemes. this also seems to be an issue. add some duel controlls such as using the arrow keys to move and the mouse to aim or the keys ASDW to move and arrows to aim. but add them, again, as setting options. with those changes, you will have a masterful game.
