Well, what can I say
First I have to give my opinion about the issue of the movie. You let the two main characters of two animes fight against each other to prove which anime's the best.
You give your opinion right away: You're one of these one piece lover who I'll never understand in my life, so why do you think you can acctually make a objective movie?. But that's probably not what you want anyway.
Of course, the one year filler episodes of the Naruto anime sucks. I never saw the one piece anime, so I have no idea how it is there with the filler episodes. Be aware I only know the original Naruto and One Piece material. I whatch animes only in the original language with subtitles. I've only read pieces of One Piece manga, though.
I really hated the manga. I never understood why a character of a movie has to be the biggest and strongest lunatic ever. What's the fun of it, when you know that he can kick everyone's ass anyway?
Naruto on the other hand has a lot of problems with his strength. It's uncontrolable and people hate him for this. He got his real strength from social contacts for which he fought his whole childhood. If he's unlucky he get killed easily. Of course this never happens in shounen anime, but a character who acctually has problems and weaknesses and is not almight is a lot more sympathic than some bigmouth who couldn't get his fingers away from a stupid fruit and now he's impudent that he can everyone's ass and his only weakness is that he cannot swim. How gay is that?
Naruto on my opinion is a lot more grown up, than One Piece. That's probably not a really objective opinion, since I know a lot more about Naruto than One Piece, but I still think my points are valid.
Oh, and start to read the manga. If the 4kids dub does not count, so do not the filler eps ;-).
So I still need to review the movie.
It's only a trailer, but I'm really looking forward to some moving pictures of this fight. I've also never seen luffy-sprites, so I'm looking forward to them as well.
Be sure to make a exciting fight and acctually finish the movie, there are a lot of trailers to something which will never be there anyway.
So quick review:
Graphics: Cool, probably you can extend the arena, those rocks does not look to exciting.
Style: Sprites everywhere. I liked what I saw.
Sound: Only music, but a trailer never include sound effects. Be sure to use proper sound effects in the finished movie.
Violence: I think Naruto and One Piece have enough violence (and now I do not talk about the anime but the manga (is more violent)) so you can use these two series as great example.
Interacticity: None, it's a movie, right?
Humor: I don't think humor is good in this fight. Don't try to make the movie funny.
Overall: I told you already I'm looking forward to the finished movie so your trailer did a good job, eh?
